The goal of tax policy should be to raise only the amount of money needed to fund legitimate functions of government while also treating taxpayers equally. Progressives have been good at drowning the American taxpayer under the guise of “fairness” and “equity” and killing the American dream for many Virginia families. The current tax system is rigged against Middle Class families, and we need a new tax code built on real fairness and that means forcing the U.S. Government to live within its means, just as American families do. It’s time to close large corporation loopholes and return sanity back to our tax code. I will work for a balanced budget amendment that limits Big Government overreach.
